Light duty applications,
where the total load ranges from 100 to 400 pounds, are
some of the most common uses for casters. Mail carts,
storage bins, file cabinets and the like all fall into
this category. Wheel sizes range from 2” to 5”
with cushion rubber being the material of choice for smooth,
quiet operation, hard rubber for higher load capacities,
and polyurethane offering the best of both worlds. Attaching
systems include mounting plates, threaded stems, socket
and stem arrangements, and expanding stems for tubular
legs.
